Carolina Wolf Spider with Orange Fangs
One of the largest wolf spiders in North America, the Carolina Wolf Spider (Hogna carolinensis). The Carolina Wolf Spider has bright orange fangs and have a light grey / ashy white body with black markings.
Their size and speed can be a little intimidating to us, but there is no need to smash 'em. These spiders flee from anything larger than them and rarely bite. Simply scoop them up in a plastic bowl with a lid and put them outside. The will retreat indoors when the weather starts to cool.
