Female Yellow-Headed Blackbird on Cattail
A female Yellow-Headed Blackbird on a cattail. The female has a more brownish body and not quite birghtly colored yellow head and chest as the male.
While photographing these blackbirds, the females did not often perch out in the open like this. They were mostly in the denser vegetation.
